Jordan Love hosts free Milwaukee youth camp before Packers training camp
Packers training camp begins Wednesday, but Jordan Love first made time for the next generation of football players in Milwaukee.
Before returning to Green Bay for the start of training camp, Packers quarterback Jordan Love spent part of his final weekend away from football working with the next generation of players.
More than 100 young athletes attended Love’s free youth football camp at University School of Milwaukee, participating in drills, skill stations and position-specific instruction. Love partnered with FlexWork Sports to host the four-hour event, which also emphasized teamwork, leadership and sportsmanship.
“For the kids, it’s a great opportunity to be around, make some new friends, get some drill work, and hopefully take some with them,” Love said. “Whether it’s for football season coming up or whatever sport they play, just something to get better at and have a great experience being around me.”

Campers also had opportunities to have fun and take photos with the Packers quarterback before Love turned his attention back toward the upcoming NFL season.
Green Bay opens training camp Wednesday, beginning Love’s seventh camp with the organization. The 27-year-old said his approach during the final stretch of the offseason has remained largely unchanged.
“Pretty much the same,” Love said. “It’s still you go back on the break and you attack kind of that offseason break, and just trying to find ways to get better at it. Continue to keep training, working out, doing all the little things and just really get your mind right for the season.”

The Packers will spend the next several weeks preparing for the regular season, with Love entering another year as the centerpiece of Green Bay’s offense.
