The Denver Broncos finally snapped their losing streak against the Kansas City Chiefs in 2023, then they beat them again in 2024 (although KC rested starters for that game).

Starters or not, the Broncos and Chiefs are 2-2 in their last four meetings. In their last seven showdowns, Denver has averaged 22.85 points per contest. KC has averaged 19 points per game in that same stretch. If you take out the Broncos’ 38-0 win against the Chiefs’ backups last season, the six games before that come out to 20.33 PPG for Denver vs. 22.16 PPG for KC. The numbers suggest the Broncos are closing the gap.

Denver’s star cornerback, Pat Surtain, seems to believe the gap has already been closed.

“We’re going to get after them boys for sure,” PS2 said of the Chiefs during a recent interview on the Get Got Pod with Marshawn Lynch and Mike Robinson.

After Robinson suggested the Chiefs are losing their sting, Surtain seemingly agreed by saying the Broncos plan to “get after” KC in 2025.

“Every time we play them, it’s always a close game, like, it’s never a blowout,” Surtain said. “We always right there, we just need to find a way to just finish.”

Denver had a particularly heartbreaking loss at Arrowhead last fall when they were in position to win 17-16 on a last-second field goal, but the kick was blocked, sealing a 16-14 loss instead.

This year, the Broncos will play the Chiefs at home in Week 11 (Nov. 16) before later facing them on the road in Week 17 (Christmas Day). Both games will be circled on the team’s schedule.
