The Giants on Monday worked out 18 free agent players, including recent Dallas Cowboys linebacker Kenneth Murray and several other veterans, just two days before their first training camp practice in West Virginia.
John Harbaugh took a peek at 10 offensive players and eight defensive players.
Defensive tackles Daniel Ekuale, Folo Fatukasi and Marlon Davidson were the latest big bodies to rotate in front of the Giants as they continue to try to improve their run defense and an interior line.
That group lost Dexter Lawrence via trade to the Cincinnati Bengals and Roy Robertson-Harris to a torn Achilles in the spring.
Murray, linebacker Chandler Martin and defensive backs Tony Grimes, Ahmaad Moses and Sam Webb rounded out the group on defense.
On offense, quarterback Jake Haener worked with wide receivers Malik Heath and Eric McAlister, running back Kylin James Fand three tight ends: Zach Davidson, Tyler Moore and Scotty Washington.
Offensive linemen Jake Curhan, Luke Felix-Fualalo and Derek Simmons also worked out.
Murray, 27, is a former L.A. Chargers first-round pick who played for Giants defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson with the Tennessee Titans in 2024. He then started 16 games for the Cowboys in the NFC East last season.
Ekuale, 32, started 16 games for the Patriots in 2024 before playing in seven for the Pittsburgh Steelers as a backup last year.
Fatukasi, 31, played in only four games for the Houston Texans last season but appeared in double-digit games each of the previous four years for the Jets, Jacksonville Jaguars (two years) and Texans, respectively.
This is Harbaugh continuing to look for reinforcements and contributors before the Giants hit the ground running in camp, with 10 practices in 11 days scheduled at the Greenbrier Resort in West Virginia, beginning Wednesday.
The Giants made some roster moves throughout July, preparing for this week already.
They waived corner Rico Payton injured and waived linebacker Cam Jones, a special teamer. They claimed defensive lineman C.J. Ravenell off waivers from the Titans on July 7 before releasing him with a non-football injury on Saturday.
And they placed three players on the physically unable to perform list to open camp: tight end Thomas Fidone II (offseason foot surgery) and defensive linemen Robertson-Harris and Sam Roberts (offseason surgery).
