DANIEL JONES READY FOR CAMP

The Steelers will face the Indianapolis Colts in Week 5 this season. While they beat the Colts last year, both teams have undergone some changes, so don’t automatically mark that game down as a win for the Steelers. However, there was some uncertainty about whether or not Colts quarterback Daniel Jones would be healthy for that matchup after tearing his Achilles in Week 14 last year.

It sounds like Jones’ recovery has been great, though. He recently stated during an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show that he’s going to be a full participant for training camp. That makes it seem like Jones’ Achilles injury won’t be an issue for him by the time Week 5 rolls around.

MEL BLOUNT SPEECH

Mel Blount is one of the best players in Steelers history. He played for the team from 1970-1983, and he became one of the best players of his generation. Blount was a key piece of the Steelers’ four Super Bowls in that decade and eventually earned a spot in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Blount has still been very active since retiring, too, especially when it comes to helping the next generation. He does this through his program, the Mel Blount Youth Leadership Initiative, which recently shared on Twitter that it hosted members of the University of Pittsburgh football team. Blount gave the players a nice speech, and hopefully, they learned a lot from the Steelers legend.

BILLS’ NEW UNIFORM

The NFL is constantly trying to change and evolve, attempting to gain an advantage and grow its brand. That includes loosening up the uniform rules for each team. Many have taken advantage of it to don new threads. However, not every new uniform has been met with a positive reaction from fans. For example, the throwback uniforms that the Steelers wore last year received a mixed reception.

The Buffalo Bills’ new uniform is facing a similar poor reaction. The team shared a look at its new alternate uniform on Twitter, with the look being based on Buffalo being known as the Nickel City. It’s a big change from their usual uniforms, so not everyone might love it.
