Last season was a big year for the Bears as they went 11-6 and won the NFC North. They also dispatched the Packers in the Wild Card round of the playoffs on their way to eventually losing a heartbreaker to the Rams.
It was not the ultimate goal, but the Bears had a lot to feel good about with Ben Johnson and Caleb Williams working well together and the defense improving as the season went on.
As the offseason began, so did the roster changes. Former Pro Bowl safety Budda Baker joined the ranks to fill the void of Jaquan Brisker who left in free agency. And the Bears traded for center Garrett Bradbury who was with the Patriots.
In the draft, the Bears spent three of their five picks on defense, namely Walter Nolen on the defensive line at No. 9 overall. They also brought in Gavin Sawchuk out of Oklahoma to bolster the backfield.

Best Bears futures bet
This win total line is as razor thin as it comes for us, but we are going to lean towards the under due to a number of factors. The strength of schedule is the biggest concern, with the Bears having 6th-hardest schedule in the league. They are also in a highly competitive division where the losses could stack up as well. And the defense is a bit more thin than last season on the other side. It’s a tough call, but the under for the Bears is the play.

In year two of the Ben Johnson offense, Caleb Williams is going to explode. Mark it down now, Williams is going to be the Bears’ first ever 4,000+ yard passer in franchise history this season. Williams should have the cleaner pockets necessary to push the ball downfield. He retains targets in Luther Burden III, Colston Loveland and Rome Odunze, so there should be no issue why he can’t air out 229.4 yards per game, despite DJ Moore joining the Bills.

Best Bears divisional bet
After winning the NFC North last year, you’d probably be surprised to know they won it with a 2-4 divisional record. They were swept by the Lions and split with the Vikings and Packers. We don’t see the Vikings winning one this year, though, and splits with the Packers and Lions seem more likely than not. This line should be 3.5 in all honesty, but instead we’ll take the layup.

The Bears making the playoffs is a coinflip on the books, so the odds are good on this bet due to that. If the Bears bounce into the postseason, they probably won’t win the division, so that puts them on the road in the Wild Card round. They’ll likely face the winner of the NFC North or NFC East, and we wouldn’t like their chances in either of those contests. They make the dance, then are out first round.

With head coach Ben Johnson returning to design the offense, the betting public is anticipating a massive statistical leap. Williams has become a massive liability for sportsbooks due to overwhelming public handle. Bettors are heavily-backing his third-year projection because he is coming off an 11-win season where he set the franchise record for single-season passing yards.

Caleb Williams won’t need to get there this season, as his line is 24.5, but we believe he will be closer to 30 than the projected mid-20s by the books. Colston Loveland presents a perfect red-zone target, and the tandem of Luther Burden III and Rome Odunze should have big play potential.
If you prefer to avoid high-odds lottery tickets, targeting his standard season total on receiving touchdowns offers great value. His role inside the red zone will expand dramatically this season, making a low baseline of just 4 touchdowns highly achievable over a 17-game stretch, especially if Caleb Williams is going to throw for 25 or more touchdowns.

The Bears come into 2026 with the 6th-toughest strength of schedule and most of it has to do with their division rivals. Outside of that they will play the NFC South which is soft and will help them stack wins but they do draw the AFC East against the Bills and Patriots. Its a mixed bag outside of that, games against the Jaguars and Seahawks are there due to winning the NFC North. It will be a tough season for the Bears but they should come out of it slightly over .500.
