The Saints posted video of the call when Brees asked Payton to be his presenter. Payton, who now coaches the Denver Broncos, teared up during the exchange. The men worked together for 15 years in New Orleans. They share a special bond as they led the Saints in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and to the franchise’s first Super Bowl win.
