1) Gibbs contract is in process and hopes to be done soon.

2) The Offensive weapons are set and ready to be depolyed under new leadership.

3) The only (potential) question on offense looks to be at LG. I still think it’s almost certainly Mahagony (I’m not concerend about his NFI staus). Otherwise, it’s end of roster or special teams debates over TE3/4 or WR 5/6…

4) The defense is still a work in progress but has talent. Will the new approach to geetting after the QB from the interior DL bear fruit?

5) The interior DL depth positions might be the most interesting roster building question.

6) Linebacker is mostly set, likely depth depends on special teams.

7) CB2 is an actual camp battle! And Whiteside is heading toward the winner of “Camp Darling”.

8) Good/Bad News at Safety. The Good, Branch is doing better than feared and maybe available this season, Bad news, Joseph likely won’t be available to start the season. Either way the Lions will be dependant upon veteran back-up depth at least early in the season.

9) Special teams roles are pretty much set from Kicker to Punter to Long Snapper. Even the Personal Protector role and the Punt Returner jobs seem clear. The Gunner roles looks to be determined (just depend son who starting at corner vs gunner). Kick Return seems like the only question and there is plenty of talent as long as they don’t try a linebacker there again.

10) Overall, the team is in a good place and I am hoping for no more drama before the season begins.
