ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (WIBW) – The Kansas City Chiefs are moving one step closer to officially starting football season.
Monday will be the team’s first padded practice of training camp. It follows a mandatory five-day ramp-up period which consisted mostly of 7-on-7 drills.

The Chiefs are allotted 16 fully padded practices this summer. They’ll kick off the preseason on Saturday, Aug. 15 at home against the Los Angeles Rams.
