ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (WIBW) – The Kansas City Chiefs have a revamped cornerback group coming into the 2026 season. Nohl Williams, a 2025 third round draft pick, is among the lone holdovers.
The Chiefs traded All-Pro CB Trent McDuffie to the Rams, while fellow veteran corner Jaylen Watson signed with Los Angeles. Williams told reporters at training camp on Saturday that he learned a lot from the two players during his rookie year.
“How to be a pro, how to watch film,” Williams said. “How to take care of your body, and how to go about your business overall.”
Kansas City brought in former CB L’Jarius Sneed as a free agent signing and drafted LSU CB Mansoor Delane with the No. 6 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. With a full NFL season now under his belt, Williams feels better equipped to contribute among the cornerbacks.
“I have a better understanding,” Williams said. “I’m blessed to be in this position and am taking it one day at a time.”
The Chiefs play their first preseason game on Saturday, Aug. 15.
