The Patriots claimed wide receiver Tejhaun Palmer off waivers from the Cardinals, the team announced Tuesday.
In a corresponding roster move, the Patriots released tight end Jeremiah Franklin.
Palmer, 26, entered the NFL as a sixth-round pick out of UAB in 2024. The 6-foot-1, 210-pound receiver has appeared in one game.
Franklin, 22, was signed by the Patriots on July 24. He went undrafted out of Boston College this spring.
Palmer joins Kayshon Boutte, A.J. Brown, Efton Chism, Nick DeGennaro, Kyle Dixon, Cameron Dorner, Romeo Doubs, DeMario Douglas, Mack Hollins, Kobe Prentice and Kyle Williams on the Patriots’ wide receiver depth chart.
The Franklin release leaves the Patriots with Tanner Arkin, Hunter Henry, Eli Raridon, Mitch Van Vooren and Jack Westover at tight end. CJ Dippre is also on the PUP list.
