Stefon Diggs has signed with the Washington Commanders ahead of the 2026-27 NFL season. The star receiver joins an offensive unit which is already quite stacked.
Diggs had a 1,000-yard season with the New England Patriots last year and at 32 years of age, he will be an exciting addition to the roster for his teammates.
But with a new locker room comes a new dynamic, and the four-time Pro Bowler is already being subjected to some banter from one of his new comrades.

The offensive line is the key to any good unit. For the skill players to flourish, they need a strong line protecting them. And Commanders guard Sam Cosmi will be hoping to do just that for Diggs.
One way for new teammates to bond quickly is to engage in some fun banter. And Cosmi has already done his part to start that, referencing a hilarious old clip of the 32-year-old’s Vikings teammates.
Asked about Diggs, Cosmi said, “He’s a heck of a ballplayer. From a perspective of media, I wouldn’t let him date my sister… We’ll see if that’s a true thing.”
When he was in Minnesota earlier in his career, most of the locker room pointed to Diggs as the man they wouldn’t want dating their sister. This is obviously what Cosmi is referencing with his joke.

The wide receiver’s personal life has been quite high profile. He shares a child with rap star Cardi B, although the two are no longer together. Jokes like this are surely nothing new for the All-Pro receiver.
