Caleb Williams is entering his third year with the Chicago Bears, and it’s been an interesting journey so far.
Williams went from having a respectable, but far from spectacular rookie season, to a breakout season last year, leading the Bears to the top spot in the NFC North and into the postseason.
Now that Williams is standing out and leading his team to wins, he’s getting more in the public eye. He has a ways to go until he’s a household name, but Williams is certainly making noise and becoming one of the more famous quarterbacks of his era.

Williams is nearing a pretty significant personal milestone. It’s wild to think that he’s so close but not quite there yet as well.
He’s almost hit 1 million followers on Instagram, and he could be hitting that mark any day now. It frankly feels like he should already be there, but he has a little ways to go.
As of Tuesday, Aug. 11, Williams has 995,000 Instagram followers. He’s just 5,000 away from 1 million. Chances are he’ll quickly hit that million mark by the time the regular season starts in mid-September, if not sooner.
Williams was named the “Madden 27” cover athlete this offseason, and that had to help boost his social following. He’s been doing the media rounds for the honor, too.
Caleb Williams Addresses the Haters in Barstool Interview
When doing press for “Madden 27,” Williams appeared on Barstool’s “Pardon My Take.” He was asked how he deals with his haters.
“You can’t not see them,” Williams said about his critics. “All the people that say that [they don’t] are liars.”
One of the show’s hosts, Big Cat, asked Williams if he remembered the people in the media and announcers who throw shade at him.
“Yeah, for sure, for sure,” Williams admitted. “Not going to say any names on here, but there are times where I go back, and I listen…yeah, there’s reporters and analysts or whatever you want to call them that I remember. Sometimes I shake their hand a little bit harder when I see them in person.”
