Fans excited for return to football as Patriots take on Colts in the preseason

Gone are the days of “Boston Stadium” as the New England Patriots return to action in Foxborough, Massachusetts.

The Patriots faced off against the Indianapolis Colts in a preseason game Thursday without many of their starters, including Drake Maye.

But even with the backups playing most of the game, fans are still excited for football to return.

Many predict a winning season, with others hoping superstar cornerback Christian Gonzalez gets signed.

We’re still weeks away from the NFL’s season opener on Sept. 9, a Super Bowl rematch between New England and the Seattle Seahawks.
