DOLPHINS CB PRAISES STEELERS DBS
The Steelers have been struggling for years to assemble a complete secondary. They have had good defensive backs, but the whole unit has been a weakness more often than not. But that could change this year. The Steelers have many talented players in their secondary, including two of the league’s top cornerbacks according to Miami Dolphins rookie CB Chris Johnson.
Johnson recently said on the 4th and South podcast that he thinks Jalen Ramsey and Joey Porter Jr. are two of the top five corners in the NFL. Ramsey was one of the league’s best corners for years, but he might not be as talented anymore. Porter also might not be at that level yet. Johnson acknowledged that he grew up a Steelers fan, which is partly why he included Porter.
COLTS SIGN KEENAN ALLEN
The Steelers play the Indianapolis Colts in Week 5 this year. They beat the Colts last season. But both teams look different now, especially after the Colts traded WR Michael Pittman Jr. to the Steelers. However, Indianapolis recently added another receiver.
NFL insider Jordan Schultz reported on Twitter that the Colts are signing veteran receiver Keenan Allen. Allen has played in the NFL since 2013, and he’s made six Pro Bowls. While he’s 34 now, he was still impactful last year, catching 81 passes for 777 yards and four touchdowns. He could help the Colts’ offense.

CLAYPOOL TRIES OUT FOR SAINTS
The Steelers drafted WR Chase Claypool in the second round of the 2020 draft. While he had an impressive rookie season, catching 62 passes for 873 yards and nine touchdowns, his play declined quickly. The Steelers traded Claypool to the Chicago Bears during the 2022 season, and his NFL career flamed out soon after.
However, Claypool is still trying to make a comeback. He last played for the Miami Dolphins in 2023, catching four passes for 26 yards in nine games. Claypool recently had a tryout with the New Orleans Saints, though. We’ll see if he impressed the team enough to earn a contract.
