The San Francisco 49ers entered their preseason matchup with the Los Angeles Chargers without a few key players who are battling injuries, and early on in the contest, they lost one of their starters.

In the first quarter against Los Angeles, cornerback Renardo Green suffered a hamstring injury on a deep ball that knocked him out of the contest. According to the team, Green is questionable to return. However, with this game being an exhibition battle, it’s unlikely that the 49ers will push him back in the game.

When San Francisco’s defense was back on the field, cornerback Jack Jones, who suffered a hand injury in the preseason opener, was in the game to replace Green. Luckily for San Francisco, Jones has had a stellar camp.
