The New York Giants will take on the Miami Dolphins on Saturday at Hard Rock Stadium in both teams’ second preseason game.

With the Giants and Dolphins having a joint practice on Thursday, we’ll have to wait and see if Jaxson Dart and the bulk of the starters will play on Saturday. But you can expect the rookies and players who are on the bubble to get significant playing time.

Head coach John Harbaugh will be looking for a much better performance from his team than what they displayed last Saturday in their 13-10 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. Here are four bold predictions for Big Blue against Miami.

Malachi Fields will score a touchdown for the second week in a row

New York Giants wide receiver Malachi Fields (0) catches a touchdown pass from New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart (6)4New York Giants wide receiver Malachi Fields (0) catches a touchdown pass from New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart (6) during a preseason opening game between the New York Giants and Minnesota Vikings on Saturday, Aug. 15, 2026, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ.

Malachi Fields had the best game of any Giant last week in their preseason game against the Vikings. He had three receptions for 34 yards and a touchdown. On his touchdown grab, he showed his catch radius by leaping in the air over linebacker Ivan Pace Jr and coming away with the reception.

The rookie wideout has been impressive throughout the entire summer, and it wouldn’t shock anyone if he was a Week 1 starter. He’ll make another strong case to be a starter as he will once again score a touchdown.

Arvell Reese will force a fumble

In his first NFL action last week, Arvell Reese was credited with two tackles. In his brief action, he showed his quickness and physicality and is primed to make a major impact as a rookie.

Against the Dolphins, he should see more playing time to get prepared for the regular season. On Saturday, he will make his first game-changing play of his NFL career, as he will force a fumble and recover it.

Odell Beckham Jr will have a 40-yard reception

New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. (3) catches a pass during a preseason opening game between the New York Giants4New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. (3) catches a pass during a preseason opening game between the New York Giants and Minnesota Vikings on Saturday, Aug. 15, 2026, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ.

Although he was able to get open on several occasions against Minnesota, Odell Beckham Jr had just two receptions for six yards. Despite the lack of production, OBJ has made a good impression on his head coach with the way he has competed.

“I love Odell. I do. What he’s doing, what he’s fighting for, I don’t know how it’s going to turn out. It’s going to turn out the way it turns out, based on what happens. But to see his fight, his determination, his humility.” John Harbaugh said after the game last week.

Two things are true as it pertains to Beckham. He’s had an impressive summer, and he is still on the roster bubble. However, he will make a strong case for making the final roster as he will haul in a 40-yard reception against Miami.

Najee Harris will lead the team in rushing and score a touchdown

The Giants signed Najee Harris this week, and now the team has a very crowded backfield. The 28-year-old Harris is a physical back that Harbaugh covets, and despite tearing his Achilles last September, the former Pro Bowl running back is ready to go.

“ I’m good, man. Ready to get back, I feel great.” Harris said after Tuesday’s practice.

As he looks to get into football shape, he should see significant playing time on Saturday. This will result in him being the team’s leading rusher, and he’ll score his first touchdown as a Giant.
