With Dak Prescott under center, the Dallas Cowboys had one of the NFL’s top offenses in 2025. It doesn’t seem like he plans on slowing down this season.
The veteran quarterback has spent the offseason and training camp with some of his top pass-catchers, hoping to maintain a high level of play throughout the 2026 campaign. In a recent appearance on the “Up & Adams Show” with Kay Adams, Prescott said he has high expectations for a rising member of the team’s tight end group.
This Cowboys player could be a name to watch for fantasy football enthusiasts.
“I’m not into the fantasy world, but if there’s a sleeper, I’m sure it’s him,” Prescott said when discussing Brevyn Spann-Ford. “He’s a guy that’s just done everything right since he’s been here. I give a lot of credit to the guys that show up every day in the offseason, or the guys hitting me up [saying], ‘Hey, when’s the next time you’re throwing?’ Brev is the epitome of that. Anytime I had the ball this offseason and was in Dallas, Brev was there. He was ready to go. I think that just shows his mindset, just shows the mentality that he worked with this offseason.
“He’s playing on fire and he’s doing a hell of a job.”
Spann-Ford has been an intriguing weapon for the Cowboys since joining the team as an undrafted free agent in 2024. The 6-6 tight end has mainly displayed his blocking and special teams abilities in his first few seasons with the team. Going into 2026, Spann-Ford has posted 18 catches for 178 yards and a touchdown in his NFL career.
