St. Mary’s Rams prepare to defend state football title
STOCKTON, Calif. —
The St. Mary’s Rams in Stockton are gearing up to defend their Division II-AA state championship as the high school football season kicks off.
The Rams are coming off their first state championship under longtime coach Tony Franks, who was named California’s Coach of the Year.
This season, the team faces a stacked non-conference schedule that includes Bay Area powerhouse programs such as Serra, in a rematch of last year’s NorCal Bowl game, as well as De La Salle and Marin Catholic.
The Rams are ready to take on the challenge as they aim to defend their title.
