The Indianapolis Colts yearn to end their postseason drought, and the latest betting market isn’t very optimistic about their chances.
In ESPN’s leaguewide look at playoff odds published Aug. 26, Indianapolis was listed at +170 to make the postseason and -205 to miss it.
Those odds placed the Colts 21st among the NFL’s 32 teams in ESPN’s table, leaving Indianapolis amidst the bottom 12 teams in the league in terms of its shot to reach the playoffs.
The Jacksonville Jaguars, the defending AFC South champions, were given +105 odds to make the postseason. The Houston Texans were considerably higher at -180, while the Tennessee Titans had the longest playoff odds in the division at +340.
ESPN’s analysts didn’t select Indianapolis as their featured best bets to make or miss the postseason.

The Colts haven’t reached the playoffs since the 2020 season, giving them five consecutive years without a postseason appearance.
Indianapolis will try to change that with Daniel Jones back at quarterback and a roster that underwent several notable changes during the offseason.
The betting market, however, sees the Colts as an underdog entering Week 1.
