The Patriots and Browns will meet in the preseason for just the fourth time overall and for the first time since 1993 when the Patriots and Browns met on Aug. 14 in a game played in Toronto. Cleveland won that game, 12-9. The only other time the Patriots played in Cleveland in the preseason was on Aug. 30, 1976 when Cleveland won, 30-27. The Patriots beat Cleveland, 21-10, in Foxborough in the final preseason game on Aug. 27, 1978.

The Patriots lead the regular season series 15-12 and extended their winning streak to six straight games with a 32-13 win at Gillette Stadium on Oct. 26, 2025. The Patriots’ last regular season game played at Cleveland was a 38-15 New England win on Oct. 16, 2022.

Cleveland won the only postseason meeting when the Browns claimed a 20-13 victory over the Patriots on New Year’s Day, 1995, in a Wild Card Playoff game at Cleveland’s Municipal Stadium.
