The Patriots’ roster cuts are underway.
Like all NFL teams, the Pats must trim their roster down to 53 players by Sunday at 4 p.m.
The Patriots began releasing players late Friday, according to a source, in moves that will be finalized Saturday.

Saturday
10:30 a.m. The Patriots have released backup offensive lineman Darrian Dalcourt, a source told the Herald’s Doug Kyed.
Dalcourt and fellow street free agent Joe Michalski signed midway through training camp after the Patriots lost interior offensive linemen Ben Brown and Andrew Rupcich to injury in their preseason opener. Dalcourt and Michalski were staples on the third-team offense throughout training camp and were not expected to make the active roster. It’s possible the Patriots could opt to return one or both of them to their practice squad after roster cuts are completed across the league this weekend.
