Kansas City Chiefs roster: 53-man roster, cuts and practice squad

As Chiefs head coach Andy Reid put it on Friday night, this weekend is one of the toughest in the NFL for many reasons.

The Chiefs announced their initial roster of 53 players Sunday night.

“This is like the hardest time of the year for coaches and personnel guys, and players for that matter, because you’ve got to make these cuts coming up,” Reid said on Friday night. “These guys have busted their tail through the hot, humid weather at training camp and sleeping in a dorm, and then coming out and playing in these preseason games.”

Here’s a look at the team’s roster:

The Kansas City Chiefs are reportedly adding another offensive lineman to the roster ahead of the 53-man roster cuts. The Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens agreed on a trade for offensive tackle Diego Pounds, ESPN NFL Insider Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo report. It’s the second trade this week for the Chiefs addressing offensive line depth. They traded a 2028 seventh-round pick to the Giants for lineman Joshua Ezeudu.
