TRACKER: Bengals signing players to practice squad for 2026 season

The Cincinnati Bengals signed several players to their practice squad on Monday, fortifying the club’s roster depth before the season kicks off.
The Bengals announced that the following players have been added to the practice squad:

The Bengals have also acquired offensive tackle Myles Hinton off waivers from the Philadelphia Eagles. Hinton was a second round pick out of Michigan in 2025, but didn’t play last season because of a back injury.
Cincinnati also announced the release of tight end Tanner Hudson, who spent the last three seasons with the Bengals. Hudson had 77 catches for 674 yards, including a career-high 352 receiving yards in 2023.
The signings come after the Bengals trimmed their active roster to 53 players on Sunday, with many of the players who were added to the practice squad spending camp with Cincinnati.
Lux logged a pair of appearances for the Bengals in 2025, recording three tackles at the tail end of the season. He had five tackles in the preseason, competing for a spot in the secondary before Cincinnati trimmed its roster.
Quarterback Sean Clifford, a product of St. Xavier High School in Cincinnati, has also been signed to the Bengals’ practice squad.
Clifford played in all three preseason games for the Bengals, completing 16 of 27 passes for 181 yards, two touchdowns and an interception.
Clifford was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL Draft out of Penn State. He’s appeared in just two NFL games, both coming in the 2023 season.
Tight end Cam Grandy was among the players cut by the Bengals on Sunday who won’t be returning to the practice squad, after he was signed by the Minnesota Vikings.
Practice squad players take part in practice with the club’s active roster but need to be elevated to the roster in order to be eligible to play in games.
NFL teams can carry up to 16 players on their practice squads.
With training camp in the rearview mirror, the Bengals have turned their attention to the regular season. Cincinnati’s first game is on Sept. 13, at home against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
