Yes, no matter what.
Simmons, the former All-Pro safety formerly of the Denver Broncos and Atlanta Falcons, is looking for a new home in the league after a down year in the NFC South. He has openly campaigned to re-join Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio in Philly.
Despite no deal being teased, Simmons continues to be seen as a good fit for the club.
The latest example? NFL reporter Ashleigh Nagle predicting exactly that.
“Why not add a stellar player to an already stellar defense?” Nagle said. “We think Justin Simmons can be a good fit for the Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles. For starters, the current defensive coordinator for the Eagles is Vic Fangio, who was the head coach in Denver where Simmons played.

“Also, the Eagles traded away their big time playmaker and ball hawk C.J. Gardner Johnson. Simmons is an effective ball hawk who makes teams afraid to throw in the middle of the field. We think he can be the force that the Eagles need on an already dominant defense.”
Philadelphia already drafted Andrew Mukuba in the second round of the 2025 draft. They also have former third round pick Sydney Brown who they remain very high on.
