DENISON, Texas (KXII) – Denison is hosting a watch party for Jadarian Price’s first NFL game after the running back was selected 32nd overall in this year’s NFL Draft by the Seattle Seahawks, the defending Super Bowl champions.
“We always knew Jadarian was gonna be the biggest thing to come out of Denison Texas,” childhood friend Brianna Jenkins said.
“We are so excited for him,” Denison Chief PIO Emily Agans said.
From Munson Stadium to the NFL
Before playing for the Seahawks, Price’s football career started at Munson Stadium in Denison. He played football all throughout high school.
“They were already following him around like he had already went pro, well he is pro now and we know that he came from Denison Texas,” Davis said.
Price graduated from Denison High School in 2022. He went on to play for Notre Dame and played in the college national championship with the Fighting Irish in 2025.
Community celebration planned
“We’re happy to see you JD we’re proud of you,” Jenkins said.
“He’s worked so hard to get to where he is and we just wanna be able to celebrate him and show him how much we’re supporting him,” Agans said.
Denison is hosting a watch party for Price’s first game on Wednesday, Sept. 9, at the George Tavern. The event is completely free and open to the public.
“We want it to be really special for JD but we also want it to be special for our community we’ll have some raffles and giveaways that will benefit the United Way of Grayson County, JD was very passionate about that,” Agans said.
