The Dallas Cowboys aren’t done making money-related moves as their 2026 season opener approaches.
The team created $19 million in salary cap space with conversions/restructures of contracts for cornerback DaRon Bland, tight end Jake Ferguson and defensive tackle Kenny Clark, two people with knowledge of the decision told The Dallas Morning News on Thursday night. With those moves, the Cowboys now have over $30 million in cap space. ESPN’s Todd Archer first reported the move.
Dallas had an active offseason, making key choices like trading for edge rusher Rashan Gary. The team also signed standout defensive tackle Quinnen Williams to a lucrative extension.
Clark had already restructured his contract in March to open up cap space. Both Bland and Ferguson agreed to long-term extensions with the club in 2025.
