Simone Biles took advantage of the final hours before the NFL returns to share a very personal glimpse of Jonathan Owens. Between moments as a couple, scenes from home and a relaxed afternoon, the gymnast offered a look at how her husband is spending the days leading up to a season that will mark a new chapter in his career.

One of the stories showed Simone and Jonathan inside a car, both smiling as they enjoyed the moment together. The scene conveyed that sense of calm that often comes just before the sports schedule picks up again.

Later, Biles shared another image with the pool in the background and a sunset that completed the laid-back atmosphere of their final days of rest.

For a few hours, football seemed far away. Jonathan was simply enjoying time at home and his wife’s company before returning to a routine filled with practices, travel and games.
But then a photo appeared that made everything fall into place.
A photo of Jonathan Owens says it all
In one of the images, Jonathan appeared walking with his luggage. Without a uniform and far from any stadium, the photo offered a pretty clear hint about what is about to begin: the NFL season is just around the corner.

And this time, Owens’ football destination will be different from where he spent the previous two seasons.
Jonathan Owens enters 2026 with a new team
The 30-year-old safety will play the 2026 season with the Indianapolis Colts after his two-year contract with the Chicago Bears ended, making him an unrestricted free agent.
In March of this year, Owens signed with Indianapolis for one season and $1.402 million, including a $187,500 guaranteed signing bonus. The Colts added a veteran who can provide depth in the secondary and experience on special teams.
His final year in Chicago was particularly tied to that second unit. Owens appeared in all 17 regular-season games in 2025 and recorded 19 combined tackles on special teams, while playing just 4% of the team’s defensive snaps.
Now, he will have the opportunity to start fresh with Indianapolis, just as the new season is about to begin.

The change of teams also means a new setting from which Simone will support her husband throughout the season.
Biles and Owens began dating in 2020 and officially married in April 2023. Since then, the gymnast has shown her support for the NFL player on multiple occasions throughout his career.
Now, their story will have a new setting at Lucas Oil Stadium, where the Colts will host the Baltimore Ravens this Sunday, September 13, to begin their 2026 regular season.
