2. Relationship with Rice
Ingram-Dawkins hails from Gaffney, South Carolina, the same hometown as Vikings Legend Sidney Rice.
Asked about the former wide receiver, Ingram Dawkins said Rice “grew up right down the road from this house I’m in.” The two also both attended Gaffney High School, albeit obviously at different time.
“Our families know each other,” he said, “and growing up, Sidney was a big name … was able to go to [the Vikings and Seahawk] and thrive. I have a close relationship with Sidney. I’ve talked to him plenty of times, know him personally, so just to know he was a part of this organization with the Vikings has me even more pumped.
“It’s bigger than me; it’s for the city,” Ingram-Dawkins added.
