The Kansas City Chiefs have released their final injury report for Week 1 vs. the Denver Broncos, ruling out two players for the game.

The Kansas City Chiefs have released their final injury report ahead of the season opener against the Denver Broncos on “Monday Night Football.”

As expected, starting LT Josh Simmons and starting SS Chamarri Conner have been ruled out due to their respective back and knee injuries. They won’t suit up on Monday night, paving the way for players like Kahlil Benson and Jaden Hicks to get opportunities. What else did we learn about the Chiefs from the final injury report?

Observations

Chiefs HC Andy Reid says DT Chris Jones was held out of practice for precautionary reasons after his calf tightened up on him on Friday. He believes that Jones will be OK for Monday night. Hence no game status design
