Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Parker Washington is betting on himself heading into the 2026 season.
Several reporters confirmed on Saturday that contract extension talks between Washington and the Jaguars have broken down. The 24-year-old wideout enters his fourth NFL season without a new deal.

According to NFL reporter Jordan Schultz, the failed negotiations did not create a rift between Washington and the team. Their relationship “remains in a healthy place” despite not coming to terms on an extension. The two sides were said to be a ways apart on the dollar figure, but Jacksonville still has “big plans” for Washington heading into the 2026 season.
If Washington can build on his successful 2025 campaign, the Jaguars may come to regret not striking a deal earlier. He led Jacksonville in targets (95), catches (58), receiving yards (847), and receiving touchdowns (5) across 16 games.
The Jaguars reportedly sought a deal in the 3-year, $75 million range similar to the one Michael Wilson signed with the Arizona Cardinals earlier this month. With a heftier paycheck on the line, Washington will be more motivated than ever to have a breakout season.
