SANTA CLARA — In the words of John Lynch, 49ers wide receiver Mike Evans is old school and will do everything in his power to play in Sunday’s Week 4 game against the Denver Broncos.

That is why, despite dealing with a rib injury, he was on a side field working out next to where the rest of the team was practicing Friday.

Evans’ Week 4 status will be a game-time decision, coach Kyle Shanahan said after practice.

Dre Greenlaw (quad), Trent Williams (neck) and Keion White (hamstring) are questionable, but all were in uniform and on the practice field Friday.

Linebacker Jaden Duggar was a surprise pop-up on Friday’s injury report. Shanahan said he sustained a shoulder injury at practice Thursday.

Familiar face Dante Pettis, who was signed to the team’s practice squad this week after spending more than two seasons with San Francisco, was not on the practice field Friday. Shanahan said he injured his calf at practice Thursday.

Defensive lineman James Thompson (ankle) was ruled out by Shanahan on Friday.

Should the 49ers’ already-depleted D-line need a reinforcement on Sunday, keep an eye on Matthew Judon, who could be elevated from the practice squad.
