In our “Let’s Argue” series, Mark Gunnels considers the hot takes, wacky predictions and unpopular opinions of Kansas City Chiefs fans from all over the world.

This a good team that can win a Super Bowl with the current roster as is.

I’ve been saying it — this Chiefs team is absolutely good enough to win it all. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes finally has a legit running game with running back Kenneth Walker, the weapons around him are better, and tight end Travis Kelce still looks like he has plenty left in the tank. Defensively, they haven’t even played their best football yet, and they’re still 3-0 with a top-five defense in EPA per play. If the young guys on defense keep developing and this team stays healthy, there’s no reason KC shouldn’t be right there at the end.

The massive upgrade at RB is enough to get us in the playoffs, and Mahomes is enough to get us past most/all of the AFC teams. I think Buffalo is the only real challenge in the AFC.

I agree the Buffalo Bills are the biggest threat because Josh Allen will always make them dangerous, especially in January. But I’m not sleeping on the Jacksonville Jaguars either — they’ve got enough talent on both sides of the ball to be a real problem in the AFC. That said, if the Chiefs get to the postseason healthy with Mahomes, an improved running game, and a defense that keeps developing, I’ll take my chances against anybody.

Tyreek Hill will sign with the Chiefs and have 750 total yards and 7 touchdowns. Is that hot enough?

It’s hard for me to put numbers on Tyreek because we still don’t know exactly when — or even if — he’ll be available. If I had to guess, I’d say sometime in early-to-mid November, and at that point you’re talking about joining a team halfway through the season. I don’t know if he gets to 750 yards, but if he’s healthy, I absolutely believe he could still give the Chiefs another explosive element for a playoff run. And with the way this offense is already playing, they wouldn’t need him to come in and be the old Tyreek Hill.
