GIANTS at COMMANDERS
1 p.m., Commanders by 4 ½, 43 ½
HANK’S HONEYS: There are too many question marks concerning the Commanders, even if Jayden Daniels plays. Marcus Mariota is out and that would leave third-stringer Athan Kaliakmanis as the only alternative. WR Terry McLaurin is also iffy after missing the London game with a hamstring. John Harbaugh has already changed the culture with the Giants, who are now winning the games they would have lost in recent years. Jameis Winston, a handicapper’s nightmare because of his unpredictability, has been more good than bad, and the Giants should be able to rely on their running game with Washington allowing over 30 ppg. The Commanders will not have a bye after a rough week overseas. That could factor in as well.
IF I WERE A BETTING MAN: Giants and the over.
BROWNS at JETS
1 p.m., Browns by 2 ½, 40
HANK’S HONEYS: Well, well. The Browns actually resemble a football team and deserve to be road favorites here. Their defense is legit and they’ll be facing a Jets offense that remains grounded. The Jets’ entire offensive philosophy is built around the running game but the Browns have allowed fewer than 100 yards in their last two games with studs like DT Mason Graham up front. With Breece Hall still week to week, it’s mismatch. Cleveland is doing just enough on offense with Deshaun Watson performing better than expected. Still, the Browns are a ball control team that averages just above 20 ppg. With Gang Green at 17.6 ppg, you can be confident taking the under.
IF I WERE A BETTING MAN: Browns and the under.
EAGLES vs JAGUARS in LONDON
9:30 a.m., Jags by 7 ½, 41 ½
HANK’S HONEYS: The Eagles’ O-line lost two Pro Bowlers in two days. First Lane Johnson announced his retirement four games into the season before the Birds traded OG Cam Jurgens to the Ravens. Philly’s record without Johnson is an astounding 18-30 SU. There’s also a chance they’ll be without DeVonta Smith, Dallas Goedert and Saquon Barkley (and others), accounting for another four points being added to the line. The Jaguars have been very, very good on both sides of the ball and they have been very good in London even when they weren’t very good.
IF I WERE A BETTING MAN: Jaguars and the under.
COLTS at STEELERS
1 p.m., Steelers by 2 ½, 43 ½
HANK’S HONEYS: The travel advantage is with the Steelers, who are on a mini bye, as opposed to the Colts who had to fly back from last week’s win in London. And if you’re into such things, the Colts have exactly two wins in the Steel City since the merger. But we can’t get past how limited the Steelers are with Aaron Rodgers at QB. Jonathan Taylor’s legs have negated Daniel Jones’ inconsistencies and he has a favorable matchup here. DT Derrick Harmon was placed on IR, a significant blow to a run defense that has given up chunk plays in recent weeks.
IF I WERE A BETTING MAN: Colts and the over.
BEARS at PACKERS
1 p.m., Bears by 1 ½, 45
HANK’S HONEYS: The Bears look perfectly functional since Caleb Williams suffered the most painful hamstring injury in football history, easily covering both games. Ben Johnson is an offensive mastermind and he’s been able to shift to whatever the situation demands. The Midway Monsters are averaging 196.3 rushing yards per game and are facing a Packers run defense ranked 28th in the NFL that will be without its best LB, Edgerrin Cooper, the remainder of the season. Green Bay’s offense, meanwhile, misses Josh Jacobs a lot more than the Bears miss Williams. O-line injuries heighten the difficulty of running the ball and Jordan Love can’t get much going in a one-dimensional attack.
IF I WERE A BETTING MAN: Bears and the under.
BENGALS at DOLPHINS
1 p.m., Bengals by 7 ½, 42 ½
HANK’S HONEYS: It’s a get-right game for the Bengals after dropping two straight, even in their banged-up state. It’s the fewest points the winless Dolphins are catching so far and there is no way Malik Willis can go toe to toe with Joe Burrow, who helped the Bengals lay a 45-21 hurting on the Fins last year. The under is a safe bet. Miami hasn’t topped 13 points yet this season and the Bengals have improved on D. With both Ja’Marr Chase (concussion) and Tee Higgins (abductor) iffy, the fireworks should be dampened. The Dolphins are going to have to hold up their end of the points bargain and that’s debatable.
IF I WERE A BETTING MAN: Bengals and the under.
VIKINGS at SAINTS
1 p.m., Vikings by 2 ½, 42
HANK’S HONEYS: We’re leaning Minny, even while considering the Vikings’ putrid offense. Kyler Murray is still learning the system and there should be some improvement each week. There’s a chance that Justin Jefferson returns from his ankle injury and that would be huge. The Saints are last in points allowed per play and are on a short week after being pushed around by the Falcons while the Vikes had an easy time against the Dolphins. They would have covered if T.J. Hockenson had not done the kneel down. Tyler Shough’s passing numbers against the blitz are impressive but he goes down easy and he has never seen a relentless blitzing team like the Vikings.
IF I WERE A BETTING MAN: Vikings and the under.
RAIDERS at PATRIOTS
1 p.m., Pats by 3 ½, 45
HANK’S HONEYS: Kudos to the Pats for making a stand in Buffalo, likely saving their season. But this Raiders team continues to impress as it comes off an ATS win against the Chiefs. Kirk Cousins is playing some of the best football of his career while Ashton Jeanty is providing production on the ground. Maxx Crosby looks rejuvenated, finally playing for a contending team. The Raiders opened last season with a win in Foxborough and should hang tight in this one, making the FG hook to attractive to ignore.
IF I WERE A BETTING MAN: Raiders and the over.
LIONS at CARDINALS
4:25 p.m., Lions by 5 ½, 54 ½
HANK’S HONEYS: Is there is a worse secondary in football than the Lions? They can’t play zone and they can’t play man and they can’t cover tight ends who have combined for 37 receptions, 407 yards and six TDs through four games. Of course, Jacoby Brissett has one of the best tight ends in the game in Trey McBride. This isn’t even the same Detroit offense we have been used to seeing the last few seasons. They’re not as explosive in the passing game and they’ve been plagued by a rash of pre-snap penalties. They may win but we’re giving this many points on the road to a decent Cardinals team that had a good chance to get to 2-2 before the goal-line pick six against the Giants.
IF I WERE A BETTING MAN: Cardinals and the over.
RAVENS at FALCONS
8:20 p.m., Falcons by 3 ½, 43 ½
HANK’S HONEYS: Who would have foreseen this line a few weeks ago? The lookahead line had the Ravens giving six on the road but with Lamar Jackson having only an outside chance to play, the physical Falcons merit the swing. The Ravens are 6-11 in regular season games without their star QB. Even if he manages to suit up, he’s not going to have anywhere near the same mobility. The Falcons have turned things around since Michael Penix Jr. returned and Bijan Robinson has been thriving with less attention. He has 339 rushing yards, 21 receiving yards and four rushing scores the last two games. Both teams will lean on the run. It’s a strong under.
IF I WERE A BETTING MAN: Falcons and the under.

LOOK BUT DON’T TOUCH
BILLS at RAMS
Monday, 8:15 p.m., Rams by 2 ½, 54
HANK’S HONEYS: You might want to stay away from picking a side. This one could go either way. But the total seems a bit too high. The Rams haven’t played in any high-scoring games yet and their defense hardly ever gets scorched. Otherwise, this is a lean to the Rams. Josh Allen can light anyone up, but the Bills have been slipping a bit and the Rams are coming on. Their late rally in Philly could be a crossroads win. Their O-line should win the battle of the trenches and spearhead a strong effort from the running game.
CAN’T HELP YOURSELF?: Rams and the under.

BRONCOS at CHARGERS: 4:05 p.m., Broncos by 3 ½, 42
IF I WERE A BETTING MAN: Chargers and the over.
49ERS at SEAHAWKS: 4:25 p.m., Seahawks by 3 ½, 47
