The too-early mock drafts and preseason ratings for the 2026 NFL Draft feature a common theme: a lot of quarterbacks going very highly.

A quick look at a sampling of mock drafts shows a few constant QB presences being projected quite highly at this early juncture. The Mock Draftable consensus big board, which aggregates rankings to form a conglomerate big board, reflects that. Five of the top 10 players on their consensus big board are quarterbacks, led by Arch Manning from Texas.

The current list of QBs at the top:

1. Arch Manning, Texas

2. Cade Klubnik, Clemson

3. LaNorris Sellers, South Carolina

7. Garrett Nussmeier, LSU

8. Drew Allar, Penn State

9. Fernando Mendoza, Indiana

It’s far too early to know if all of them, notably Manning, will even declare for the 2026 NFL Draft. But the early consensus is that the QBs will be in big demand and might just live up to the hype.
