The prestige of Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay has made it to the world of rap.
Lil Wayne name-dropped McVay in his song, “Welcome to Tha Carter,” which is on Wayne’s newest album, “Tha Carter VI.”
“I done said it before, I’m already ready for warYou’ve been to Hell and back, but have you been to Heaven before?I check the Chopard, I got time todaySmokin’ that bomb LA like I’m McVayBombs away, I’m just tryna concentrate”
McVay is 80-52 in his eight seasons with the Rams, including two Super Bowl appearances and one Super Bowl victory. That type of legacy, especially in a city like Los Angeles, leaves a legacy.
And now it’s forever apart of Lil Wayne’s discography.
The Rams X account got a kick out of the lyrics, too, with a post featuring a picture of McVay smiling at his phone.
Rams fans enjoyed the shoutout, too.
