The NFL calendar is a unique one. Immediately following the season, “Black Monday” brings about a fresh batch of head coaches and general managers. After that, the pre-Combine process helps those coaches fill out their staffs while the new front office leader mostly keeps the scouting departments and the rest of the front office together through the NFL draft.
NFL free agency follows the NFL combine, with the NFL draft coming almost two months later.
Now, with the draft complete, and most of NFL free agency except the occasional signing like the Cleveland Browns just made, front office staffs undergo a second change. The Tennessee Titans are one of those teams with a new general manager, Mike Borgonzi, hired in January and now making more changes by robbing from the Browns front office:
Saganey has been with the Cleveland organization since 2009 and spoke following the Browns draft on Day 3:
This is not the first time recently that Tennessee has found an important member of their team. Last offseason, Bill Callahan was hired to be his son’s offensive line coach with the permission of the Browns.
Saganey has been in his position with Cleveland since 2016. His new role with the Titans has not been announced at this time.
