Eagles Pro Bowl Receiver Thrilled With Free Agent Signing originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
It’s hard to get targets in the Philadelphia Eagles offense if you aren’t DeVonta Smith, A.J. Brown or Dallas Goedert. Over the last few seasons, several players have tried to earn the title of WR3 in Philly, only to be ignored almost entirely in the passing game.

With that being the case, it’s almost impossible for a WR4 to see the field.
That is why the odds are stacked against former LSU receiver Terrace Marshall. The former second-round pick has played four seasons in the league but has been a limited factor for the Las Vegas Raiders and Carolina Panthers.
Marshall’s arrival to the team has meant more than just some added competition in the receiver room.
For Smith, Marshall’s introduction to the team is a reunion of sorts.
“I’ve been with Terrace for a while,” Smith said during minicamp this week. “We played on the same 7-on-7 team in high school, so I’ve known him since then. It’s been great. Any time you can get a Louisiana guy up here, I’m all for it.

“And being somebody I’ve known since high school, looking forward to playing with him and glad he’s here.”
Marshall has reportedly looked good with the Eagles so far in offseason workouts. He still has his work cut out for him.
The 25-year-old will compete with young receivers like Johnny Wilson and Ainias Smith for a spot on the 53-man roster. If he can continue to stand out in practice, though, he can fill some spots on Philly’s team.
And thrive in.
