Two members of the Jacksonville Jaguars’ nine-man draft class made Matt Miller’s list of his top 100 best NFL draft picks.
As Miller put together these rankings, he took into account value, scheme fit, positional need, potential draft compensation, and skill set.

So, any guesses which Jaguars‘ player made this list?
The first one is obvious–it’s Travis Hunter, who came in at No. 6 on Miller’s list overall.
“Hunter was either the No. 1 or No. 2 player on most boards,” wrote Miller. “I loved that Jaguars first-year general manager James Gladstone made an aggressive trade to move up to get him. He slides in perfectly as an offensive playmaker for quarterback Trevor Lawrence alongside second-year receiver Brian Thomas Jr. And on top of that, he’s also going to be able to help Jacksonville on defense.”
Hunter was the top prospect in this year’s draft class and was widely considered the top wide receiver and top cornerback prospect by many draft analysts.

The Jaguars will play him on both sides of the ball, and as Liam Coen mentioned, as Hunter gets acclimated, he will be onboarded at wide receiver. If I were to make a guess right now, I’d say that the bulk of Hunter’s snaps come on offense, while he plays cornerback during obvious passing situations, where he can go be a ballhawk.
Beyond Hunter, the other Jaguars’ draft pick that made Miller’s list was defensive back Caleb Ransaw, who Jacksonville took in the third round.
“Ransaw is a developmental player whose speed and agility project him as a future NFL starter,” Miller wrote.
Ransaw is an excellent athlete, running a 4.33-second 40, and versatile, with experience in the slot, on the boundary, and in the box. He’s been a reliable tackler and was stingy in coverage, allowing a completion rate of just 44% last season, according to PFF.

Given his experience playing near the line of scrimmage, he could compete for the Jaguars’ starting strong safety role to pair with Eric Murray.
