The NFL needs to revamp its draft pick rules.

This meeting between the Jacksonville Jaguars and Las Vegas Raiders is a game where the winner of the game is a loser because they’ll lose ground in the race for the No. 1 draft pick.

So, what’s the incentive to actually win the game?

At 2-12, the Raiders are slightly ahead of the 3-11 Jaguars. Las Vegas is currently in the No. 1 spot, while the Jags hold the No. 4 position.

The loser of this game will firm up their top 5 post in the draft.

The New York Giants (2-12) currently hold the No. 2 spot while the Patriots (3-11) are in the No. 3 spot. Carolina (3-11) rounds out the top 5.

The Jaguars are on their second quarterback in backup Mac Jones. The Raiders are on their third QB, Desmond Ridder.

This will be the Jaguars’ first trip to Las Vegas for the 4:25 p.m. game.

Who will the winner of the game be? Let’s see what our experts think.

The Jaguars are bad, but the Raiders are worse. Or should be.

The Jaguars’ two best rookies — WR Brian Thomas Jr. and K Cam Little — carry the team to a victory in the desert.

As long as the Jaguars’ propensity to let tight ends run wild doesn’t translate into Brock Bowers having a 100-yard game, they should eke out a victory. Mac Jones is starting to become efficient enough for the offense to not look putrid.

Yeah, Vegas quarterback Desmond Ridder is no Aaron Rodgers. He may not even be Mr. Rogers. But the Jaguars have a history of letting backup quarterbacks torch them.

It’ll be a tank-a-thon instant classic where the loser actually wins.

The Raiders’ losing streak now extends to 10 with a woeful turnover differential, so it’s a rare game where the Jags — even with their notorious road struggles against AFC West foes — have a solid chance at victory.

My daughter felt the stinging agony of defeat for the first time last week when the Jets defeated the Jaguars. She’s still 4-1 on the season to my 3-6. She’s dedicated to getting better, taking it one game at a time and doing better than her previous time out. The other day, fellow staff picker Garry Smits asked my daughter what she thought of this matchup and she said: “This game is going to be terrible. Both teams really suck.” While I’d prefer not hear my 10-year-old use that kind of language, it could be worse, and she’s not wrong. Ultimately, she hemmed and hawed and said “I guess the Jaguars are going to win.” She likes this to be a Cam Little game.
