The Eagles are the reigning Super Bowl champions, and as we approach the 2025 NFL season, this roster will look dramatically different after suffering several free-agent losses.

During the first wave of free agency, Philadelphia saw Josh Sweat (Cardinals), Milton Williams (Patriots), Kenneth Gainwell (Steelers), Mekhi Becton (Chargers), Isaiah Rodgers (Vikings), Fred Johnson (Jaguars), Parris Campbell (Cowboys), Darius Slay (CB) and Oren Burks (Bengals) all depart.

Still, they rebounded to make several key signings, including A.J. Dillon (RB), Joshua Uche (LB), Adoree’ Jackson (CB), Charley Hughlett (LS), Patrick Johnson (LB), Avery Williams (KR/PR), Kylen Granson (TE), and Azeez Ojulari (OLB) among others.

Quarterback, Running Back, Wide Receiver

TE1 – Dallas Goedert

Goedert is back on a restructured deal, and it wasn’t a rough decision after the veteran (team-record 52 career playoff catches) led the Eagles in receptions (17) and receiving yards (215) in the postseason.

TE2- Grant Calcaterra

Playing in relief of an injured Dallas Goedert, Calcaterra logged 24 receptions for 298 yards and one touchdown. He was targeted 30 times and put up 19.9 yards per game.

Best of the rest

Practice squad numbers and game day elevations make it easy for Philadelphia to get creative with its 53-man roster. The Eagles carried two tight ends last season, and with Jeffrey Lurie looking to incorporate fullback Ben VanSumeren, the team is expected to take this approach in 2025.

There are seven tight ends on the roster, with Nick Muse and E.J. Henderson among the players battling for a spot after the team signed Kylen Granson and Harrison Bryant. Jenkins was promoted to Philadelphia’s active roster in 2024 and saw action in 12 games (eight in the regular season and four in the postseason). Playing primarily on special teams, he caught one pass on the season – a 7-yard touchdown versus the New York Giants on Jan. 5.
