Ex-New York Giants defensive back Jabrill Peppers is still an active member of the New England Patriots, but that hasn’t stopped him from pursuing a musical career as a rap artist.

Peppers released his debut rap song this week, called “Point’em Out,” and is performing under the name J.Pepp.

Be warned, the music video is not safe for work (NSFW).

Peppers has some musical skill, it would seem, and this likely won’t be the last rap song he releases. He’s been an avid rapper since high school, and his interest in the genre has given him a new way to express himself.

After being arrested and accused of domestic violence and cocaine possession charges in 2024, Peppers was acquitted of all charges in January of this year. The resulting relief is likely what broke out his creativity to come out with his first rap song. The feedback he is getting from it is what will keep that creativity going and allow him to put out more records.

Peppers is entering his ninth season in the NFL, and he turns 30 this year. His NFL career has reached its apex, and retirement isn’t that far off. Every player needs a plan for when they retire from the league, and it looks like Peppers’ plan is to pivot to music.
