The wait for EA Sports’ new video game, College Football 26, the second of yearly releases since 2014 after the cancellation of the NCAA Football series, is heating up. Yesterday, the company released its gameplay deep dive, wherein players were told about new features.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Florida State was mentioned. Even after having a 2-10 season, the brand alone is enough to justify their appearance in the trailer.

Despite new Florida State Seminoles quarterback Thomas Castellanos not appearing on the cover art with star wide receivers Jeremiah Smith of Ohio State and Ryan Williams of Alabama, he did appear within the newest trailer!

Throwing a pick against Pittsburgh, that is. Honestly, fair. At least, in the trailer, the score was Florida State 14, Pittsburgh 7. So in that game, there’s a chance to hold off the Panthers!

In any case, fans of Florida State will be happy to know that they will be able to rebuild the program however they wish, with a wave of new features being announced in upcoming deep dives.

College Football 26 will release worldwide on July 10, 2025.
