Jayden Price was a standout for the Arlington Renegades this season

The New Orleans Saints added to their cornerback position on Friday with the signing of Jayden Price, formerly of the Arlington Renegades of the United Football League. Price joins former Renegades teammate TE Seth Green in New Orleans, who was signed by the team earlier this week. The Saints also recently signed UFL offensive lineman Barry Wesley of the Birmingham Stallions.

To make roster space for the new additions, the Saints released running back Xazavian Valladay and cornerback Travion Fluellen on Friday afternoon.

Jayden Price, 25, started all 10 games for the Arlington Renegades this spring. He didn’t record an interception, but led the UFL with 13 passes broken up and had two tackles for loss among his 27 total stops. Listed at 6 feet and 183 pounds, Price also led Arlington with a 22.5-yard average on kickoff returns and 9.7 yards per punt return.

Price played collegiately at North Dakota State. He intercepted three passes and broke up 17 others for the Bison over 71 games with 54 starts. He was not selected in the 2024 NFL Draft, instead signing with the Atlanta Falcons. Price was released by the Falcons just prior to the regular season. He’d then appear in one game for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League this fall before joining the UFL and the Renegades.
