The Miami Dolphins have completed OTAs and their mandatory minicamp. Now, training camp awaits for the Dolphins at the end of July.

As part of its ramp up to the 2025 NFL season, Miami will take part in three joint practices. The NFL unveiled the full dates, locations and teams for 2025 joint practices on Wednesday of last week.

It’s pretty straightforward for the Dolphins. Miami’s three joint practices will be held against its three preseason opponents in the Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions and Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Dolphins’ 2025 NFL preseason schedule features dates at Chicago on August 10, at Detroit on August 16 and versus Jacksonville on August 23.

In conjunction with those preseason dates, the Dolphins will hold joint practices against each of their three preseason opponents several days in advance of their preseason contests.

NFL joint practices provide the opportunity for players and teams to see another opponent instead of their teammates who they see plenty of throughout OTAs, mandatory minicamp and training camp. NFL teams are permitted to conduct up to four joint practice sessions during the preseason.
