Last season, Lyons, who had over 40 college scholarship offers, led the Bulldogs to a 12-2 record and a No. 49 ranking in the High School Football America 300 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football.
Over the last two year, the 2024 California Gatorade Football Player of the Year has completed 68-percent of his passes for nearly 6,600 yards with 84 touchdowns against only 14 interceptions.
Lyons won’t be on the BYU field until 2027 since he will serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
In the classroom, Lyons was named a HSFA Academic All-American in 2023 and 2024.
