WASHINGTON (7News) — The Washington Commanders Marching Band is looking for talented musicians to join its ranks for the 2025 NFL season.

The team announced open auditions will take place on Saturday, March 8, and Sunday, March 9, at the City of District Heights Recreation Center in Maryland, the official home of the Commanders Music Department.
Officials said musicians from across the DMV region will have the opportunity to perform at all home games, both on the field and in the stands, as well as at special community events, including the District Heights Day Parade on June 7.

Individuals may audition for multiple instruments but have to complete separate auditions for each, officials said. Individuals also have to prepare the required excerpts and a solo piece of their choice.
Founded in 1937, the Washington Commanders Marching Band is the oldest marching band in NFL history.
Maestro Jeffrey Sean Dokken will return for his fourth season as director.
