Derby County are making strides in the transfer market, and while they have only announced one new signing, they are closing in on deals for two experienced heads.
The Rams completed the signing of Carlton Morris on Thursday with both Andreas Weimann and Danny Batth expected to be the next two players through the door at Pride Park.
But John Eustace is still keen to improve his forward line, with Patrick Agyemang on Derby’s radar. Tim Howard has outlined what makes the 24-year-old so good and the USA international could soon be on his way to England.
It was reported by ESPN before the weekend that the Championship side have tabled a $7m (£5.1m) for the striker. However, there is one other player that Eustace must not forget about after a difficult first few months in black-and-white.
Lars-Jorgen Salvesen will have a huge impact on Derby County in 2025/26
Lars-Jorgen Salvesen made the switch to the East Midlands back in January, leaving Norwegian club Viking FK for a fee that BBC Radio Derby reported to be £800k.

With the Rams struggling towards the bottom of the Championship on his arrival, the tall striker started to make an impact, with his physicality being a real difference maker compared to Jerry Yates, who is set to leave Swansea City this summer.
Salvesen played eight games for Derby in the Championship, scoring his one and only goal against Cardiff City in a 2-1 defeat. However, he suffered a knee injury in training and he missed the end of the campaign.
Eustace played the Norwegian just three times before losing him to that injury and he will be raring to go as the first of several pre-season matches closes in.
The Rams look as though they have put their striker problems to bed
In the last campaign, there was no denying that the Rams lacked a cutting edge going forward and Yates was relied on to get the goals while others struggled.

He found the back of the net 10 times, but Derby need multiple strikers who will hit double figures and with Morris already signed, Agyemang will be the perfect player to help support him. However, Salvesen will also be waiting in the wings for his chance.
The 29-year-old has plenty of experience and he does provide an aerial threat, if he can maintain his fitness, then Eustace will have fixed the striker problems that he faced last season in the first weeks of the summer.
