The Cardinals’ draft picks got their uniform numbers. All are getting different numbers than they had in 2024

The Arizona Cardinals have assigned uniforms to their offseason additions and that includes their draft picks. Our own Howard Balzer gave us all the additions and changes.

Here will focus on the Cardinals’ seven draft picks from last weekend.

Let’s see what numbers the Cardinals’ draft picks will wear and compare that to what they wore in college.

Arizona Cardinals draft pick uniform numbers

DL Walter Nolen: No. 97

Nolen gets No. 97 as a rookie. He wore No. 2 while at Ole Miss in 2024 and wore No. 0 at Texas A&M before that. However, interior defensive linemen cannot wear single-digit numbers in the NFL.

CB Will Johnson: No. 0

Johnson is now the second-ever player on the Cardinals to wear No. 0, following receiver Zach Pascal the last two seasons. Johnson did not wear No. 0 while in college for Michigan. He wore No. 2.

OLB Jordan Burch: No. 52

Burch technically could wear a single-digit number. However, won’t ever get to wear his college number. At Oregon, he wore No. 1, which belongs to Kyler Murray. Burch wore No. 5 while at South Carolina. However, Baron Browning now has No. 5 after wearing No. 53 after he was traded to the Cardinals.

LB Cody Simon: No. 50

Simon wore No. 0 at Ohio State in 2024 but was No. 30 before that. It would appear that Johnson got priority as a second-round pick over Simon.

CB Denzel Burke: No. 29

For Burke, it is a return to No. 29. While he wore No. 10 for the Buckeyes for his final three seasons at Ohio State, he wore No. 29 as a freshman.

OL Hayden Conner: No. 58

Conner did not get to were his college number, which was No. 76. While 76 is currently unoccupied, it is what Will Hernandez has worn in the NFL. While Hernandez is a free agent, it would appear that the Cardinals have not closed the door on his return.

S Kitan Crawford: No. 36

Budda Baker’s rookie number now belongs to Crawford. Crawford wore No. 4 in his only season at Nevada. In his four seasons at Texas before that, he wore No. 21.
