EA Sports Reveals No. 1 Quarterback For ‘College Football 26’ originally appeared on The Spun.
EA Sports College Football 26 is just around the corner and the ratings for the top positions in the sport are in. With so many of last year’s top quarterbacks off to the NFL, who came out on top among the college QBs?

While Arch Manning might be a fan favorite to emerge as the best quarterback in college football this year, the newly-minted Texas Longhorns starter didn’t even crack the top five. A pair of his SEC rivals did though and one of them ended up in a tie for the top ranking overall.
Rounding out the top five with a 91 overall rating were Arizona State’s Sam Leavitt and South Carolina’s LaNorris Sellers.
The top rating, however, went to a trio of power conference quarterbacks: Clemson’s Cade Klubnik, LSU’s Garrett Nussmeier and Penn State’s Drew Allar.
Looking back on the seasons they had in 2024, it’s easy to see why the game designers feel so comfortable with those ratings.
Klubnik completed 63.4-percent of his passes for a career-high 3,639 yards and 36 touchdowns against just six interceptions over 14 games. He led the Tigers to an ACC title and their first trip to the College Football Playoff since 2020.

Nussmeier, in his first year as a starter, led the SEC in completions and passing attempts while completing 64.2-percent of his throws for over 4,000 yards and 29 touchdowns.
Allar led Penn State to their first-ever College Football Playoff trip and then took them all the way to the national semifinals before narrowly losing to Notre Dame in the Orange Bowl. He finished the year with 3,327 yards and 24 touchdowns against just eight interceptions and had five games of three touchdown throws.

The numbers in the ratings aren’t by any means a prediction of how the players are going to perform in real life in 2025, though many people will certainly give EA Sports some grief if those players don’t perform like it.

There always winds up being a player that seemingly comes from out of nowhere and just dominates in a given season.
Will any of these quarterbacks wind up being the real top QB in 2025?
