The NFL community is rallying around former Eagles Super Bowl champion Bryan Braman as he battles a rare form of cancer.

Braman is “in the fight of his life,” his longtime agent Sean Stellato told KPRC 2.

According to a GoFundMe page set up by Braman’s friend, William Jones, Braman recently underwent “a Car-t cell reprogramming treatment program in Seattle.”

The page adds that Braman has had several surgical procedures performed, but “has not been able to recover from the procedures because of his lowered immunity due to all of these treatments. By the time he was able to recover so he could continue with the chemo, the cancer has grown expedentially faster, and is is now growing around his vital organs.”

Former teammates and others around the NFL are supporting Bryan Braman in his fight.

Former Eagles teammate Emmanuel Acho, who is currently an analyst for FOX Sports, posted on Twitter encouraging everyone in Philadelphia to donate to Braman’s GoFundMe.

In addition, former Houston Texans star JJ Watt, who was a teammate of Braman’s in Houston, donated $10,000 to the GoFundMe page.

Braman and Watt joined the Texans at the same time ahead of the 2011 season.

As of Friday morning, there were 359 total donations for Braman totaling more than $38,000.

Other former teammates who donated to the GoFundMe include former Texans offensive lineman Duane Brown, former Texans linebacker Brian Cushing, former Eagles tight end Brent Celek and former Eagles cornerback Rasul Douglas.

There were also multiple other anonymous donations for at least $1,000.

Bryan Braman played college football at Idaho, Long Beach City College and West Texas A&M, before going undrafted in the 2011 NFL Draft.

He ended up signing with the Texans as an undrafted free agent and was a key special teams player in Houston.

After spending three seasons with the Texans, Braman left for the Eagles, where he once again starred on special teams.

He spent time with the Eagles from 2014-17, helping Philadelphia defeat the Patriots in Super Bowl LII.

Acho posted a video from after that Super Bowl win where he is interviewing Braman.

“Hey man, we started this together,” Braman says. “Four years ago, man. Four years ago. This is crazy.”

Now Acho and others are doing what they can to help Braman in his fight.

“Bryan Braham has always stood for strength, resilience and leadership,” Stellato told KPRC 2. “He is a pillar and a staple of the underdog. Now, in the face of cancer, he embodies those qualities more than ever.

“If there is one person that I know that can beat cancer, it is Bryan Braman, who I have always considered family. He’s in the fight of his life. Please support Bryan and keep him in your prayers.”
